Last Day of Work!

Wow. The day I've been dreaming about since the beginning of July. Not that I didn't enjoy work, but I'm ready for a true summer vacation - the kind where you wake up at 11, do nothing until 4, realize that it's 4 and over half the day is gone and you should probably do normal-human-being activities like eating and showering, and by the time it's over it's 6 and so you laze around till dinner and then chat the night away with friends. Granted, I only get that for about 4 days this summer, since we're leaving for vacation soon after I get home, but I cannot wait! It's been a fantastic summer, and at some point, expect a blog post about things I've learned about myself, humans, Pittsburgh, and the universe in the course of 80 days of summer.

A surprisingly addictive website

www.webmathminute.com

Essentially, this tests your math ability by throwing 20 - 100 addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division (or some combination of the aforementioned) at you, and seeing how many you get correct in a certain amount of time. You can pick the minimum and maximum numbers, the number of questions you want to aim for, and if you want to "practice" a certain number, for example, the 3's multiplication table, that as well. It's a really simple concept, yet surprisingly addictive. I've spent a significant amount of time attempting to better my score.

Currently, my record is 81 multiplication questions in 60 seconds, with minimum number 1 and maximum number 12. I'm hoping to correctly answer 100 questions in the near future.

I might be a little bit of a math nerd,
